DEKA™ is a division of Reebok's Spartan Race™. It gives everyone a reason to train with purpose!
DEKA™ is comprised of 10 zones carried out in a specific sequence which provide a well-rounded functional test for all levels of fitness. Every zone is based on functional movements that don’t require any specific training or education to complete. Think thousands of years ago when it wasn’t called exercise, fitness, or training. It was survival. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, jumping/stepping/climbing over something, getting down on the ground and standing back up, and three basic forms of transportation – row, ski, & cycle.
The DEKA™ Marks
The DEKA Mark is a new standard of testing designed to establish an objective baseline of fitness that motivates us to consistently push our bodies. It’s standardized, allowing you to improve over time and compare your results to all DEKA athletes around the world. DEKA provides the following 3 testing and competition opportunities:

We want to give our clients an additional motivating purpose to train when they are in the gym! DEKA™ will give you inspiration to push harder when you come to class because you have a fitness challenge you are preparing for.
The best part about DEKA™ is that it is for everyone. There is nothing we do at a DEKA™ Event that we don’t do in class! Each one of the 10 Deka Zones is based on functional movements that don’t require any specific training or education to complete.
We run DEKA™ events quarterly to keep you motivated and to give you a benchmark of your overall fitness. It allows you to track your fitness progress if you choose to do the event in the future and try to beat your original time!
